School Competition Update – March 8

Windsor Elementary holds tight to their lead! The competition is over in 44 days!! Can Carrsville or Carrollton catch up?

The schools are working hard to collect as many plastic bags as they can by April 22 (Earth Day). The stakes are high with a pizza party as the prize for the winning school!

Keep those bags coming! Please remember that the plastic collected through the schools is meant to be HOUSEHOLD plastic, not COMMERCIAL plastic. Thank you for abiding by this rule, which maintains an even playing field for all.

The standings are as follows:

1st place – Windsor Elementary

2nd place – Carrsville Elementary

3rd place – Carrollton Elementary

4th place – Hardy Elementary

5th place – Westside Elementary

The formula used to calculate the winner is as follows:

Total plastic bags collected/student enrollment = Bags collected per student
