Isle Be Green was set up in the Garden and Field Tent at the 2011 Isle of Wight County Fair demonstrating how to turn trash to treasure and showcasing the Animal Artz children’s art projects. The Animal Artz children’s art was a partnership with artist Donna Iona Drozda, the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, and Isle of Wight County Schools.
We gave away 500 reusable shopping bags, had 3 children’s activities related to recycling, and talked to lots of recyclers and potential recyclers! It was a great weekend! Here are some photos of the demonstration area.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the ‘Isle Be Green Animal Artz’ project!!
I’m so happy to see that all those kooky creatures had their chance to help inform visitors to think about the plastic bags in a recycled way!
