Windsor Elementary School celebrated on Tuesday, June 8, and Wednesday, June 9, with pizza and cookies! This celebration was the prize for collecting the most plastic bags of all elementary schools in Isle of Wight County from September 8, 2009, until April 22, 2010 (Earth Day). Their efforts also won them a Trex bench (seen in picture above) for the school!
Windsor Elementary collected 5,670.6 pounds of plastic/396,942 plastic bags. To view the results visit the School Competition page of this website. Every school did a fantastic job collecting bags!
