“One person’s trash became another person’s musical instrument in one Westside Elementary School science classroom.

While teaching a unit on the science of sound, Westside teacher Paula Collet asked her fifth graders to get creative and construct music makers out of things they found at home. The result was a wide variety of instruments made out of everything from empty cereal boxes to old soda bottles.”

Check out the great pictures of the kids and their instruments.
