Nikki Rovner, Deputy Secretary of Natural Resources, drops off some bags at the Isle Be Green Kick-off

Nikki Rovner, Deputy Secretary of Natural Resources, praised the effort of Isle of Wight County in putting together the Isle Be Green Plastic Bag Recycling program. She was highly complimentary of the graphics and marketing materials as well as impressed with all of the support from sponsors.

Before speaking, Ms. Rovner posed for a photo op dropping off a big collection of bags and picking up her Isle Be Green reusable bag.

The Secretary of Natural Resources advises the Governor on natural resources issues and works to advance the Governor’s top environmental priorities. The Secretary oversees six agencies that protect and restore the Commonwealth’s natural and historic resources. The Secretary’s office and all of the natural resources agencies work together to uphold the provisions of Article XI of the Virginia Constitution.
