Isle Be Green would like to thank South Hampton Roads RC&D for attending the kick-off of the plastic bag recycling and reusable shopping bag promotion program.
Resource Conservation and Development better known as RC&D is a unique program. It helps people care for and protect their natural resources in a way that will improve the area’s economy, environment, and living standards.
RC&D gets people involved to identify and solve human, economic, and environmental problems in their communities. RC&D addresses local
problems by obtaining assistance from the private sector, corporations, foundations, and all levels of government.
RC&D councils are comprised of local citizens. They represent farmers, businesses, and units of government to coordinate economic development projects primarily in rural areas.
